If necessary, remove the front and back rack doors.
d. Mark the rack location where you will install the disk drive enclosure. Choose one of the
following options:
1) If you have a rack-mounting template, use it to mark the location.
2) If you do not have a rack-mounting template, perform the following steps:
a) Face the front of the rack and work from the left side. Make a note of the lowest EIA unit
to be used for the disk drive enclosure. Use tape, a marker, or a pencil to mark the middle
mounting hole
(A) of the lowest EIA unit. Count up two holes and place another mark
beside that mounting hole (B) . Mark the rack so that these marks can also be seen from the
rear of the rack.
