HARNESS RETROFIT BACK PAD
Buckingham’s
retrofit pads are designed to be attached to an existing new or used harness. These pads can be easily attached or
removed and replaced as needed
.
Buckingham’s
retrofit back pad is designed to be attached to the harness shoulder straps and
includes built in lanyard parking attachment elements required by the ANSI Z359.11 standard. If the back pad is removed and is not
replaced, compliance to the ANSI Z359.11 standard would no longer apply unless the harness is retrofitted with a Lanyard Parking
Attachment meeting the ANSI standard requirements. i.e. Buckingham

ATTACHMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
(Fig. 1)
1.
Place the back pad down on a flat surface such that the inside of the pad (Fig. 1) is facing down and the Logo side is facing up as
shown in Fig 2.

Detach all of the back-pad attachment loops by pulling apart the snaps and the hook and loop fasteners The top four loops attach with
snap fasteners and hook and loop. The bottom, large pad attachment loop attaches only with snap fasteners (Fig 3).

Disconnect the harness chest strap, open the harness up and ensure there are no twists in the webbing.
4.
Lay the harness back side straps on top of the back pad, with the inside of the harness against the outside of the back pad (The fall
arrest attachment of the harness must be to the outside of the pad. As shown in Fig.4
