•
The circuit breakers control is carried out through two separate relays, one for closing
and one for opening.
•
In reset mode, both control relays remain open, except for the emergency condition
where the opening can be controlled.
•
In case of an anomaly on the switch, hence causing an alarm, the control outputs will
both be opened till the resetting of the alarm.
•
There are two separate modes for controlling the circuit breakers. These can be selected
by using the parameter
P1.03
5.1 With feedback (default setup)
•
The status indicated by the two-color front LED is the one detected by the auxiliary
contacts.
•
The timeout alarms are enabled. They are generated if the circuit breakers do not reach
the required position within a programmable time
P1.04
or immediately if they change
position when no command has been sent.
•
The control outputs are timed. When the circuit breaker has executed the required
operation, the output still remains energized for a certain period of time (+1 second
during closing and +15 seconds during opening, in order to allow the springs of the
motor operators to be completely charged) and then it is released.
•
The normal status of the control outputs is open.
•
The interlocking times start when the first circuit breaker is actually opened, detected by
the input, and last for 0.5 steady seconds.
Example of a changeover with
feedback, assuming a utility-to-
utility commutation.
The feedback input status is
shown in blue.
The status of the control outputs
is shown in green.
The changeover time is shown
in yellow.
5.2 Without feedback
•
The circuit breakers status LEDs remain off.
•
The timeout alarms are disabled.
•
The Opening/Closing control outputs remain constantly in the required position for the
circuit breaker.
•
The changeover times between the opening of a switch and the closing of another start
during the commutation of the outputs and are steady at 6 sec.
Example of a changeover with
no feedback.
The actual status of the circuit
breakers is shown in blue.
The status of the control outputs
is shown in green.
The changeover time is shown
in yellow.

The auxiliary contacts of
the circuit breakers are
wired in their imputs.
With the feedback is
necessary to use for the
opening operation of
DPX 250-630-1600 the
shunth trip relay or the
undervoltage relay.
The auxiliary contacts
of the circuit breakers
are not wired in their
inputs,
hence
the
electronic control box
is not informed on their
actual state.
