Answering machine

Using the answering machine at the base

Set the answer mode

1. Press

to toggle between the 3 settings:

Answer and record, Answer only or Answer off. The setting is announced.

Message counter

when the answering machine is off the blue light is off.

0

On, no messages, Answer & record mode

answering machine on, 2 messages are stored

flashing, you have at least 1 new message

flashing slowly, you have more than 9 old messages

flashing quickly, you have more than 9 new messages

Recording a message or memo (scrolling one segment at a time)

Recording memory full

If the recording memory becomes full while a caller is leaving a message, they will
hear “Thank you for calling” and the answering machine will hang up.

Any new callers will hear the Answer only message.

If the memory is full you must delete messages before your BT Stratus 1500 can
begin recording again.
