Note:

The Ground Station runs continuously and measures the acoustic signals, photocell

signals, radar and weather station data, if present. This information is continuously

broadcast to the Vehicle Station using a remote station server and client to manage the

data transfer. These two components control communication between the Ground

Station (server) and the Vehicle Station (client).

5.1.1

Measurement

Control

A measurement run is started on the Vehicle Station PC by the operator activating the

system then clicking start in the Vehicle Station measurement control interface or by

triggering with a vehicle-mounted photocell.
Fig.5.2 shows the measurement control interface in the software.

Fig.5.3 shows the interface of the dedicated Ground Station software. After setup, the
