The positioner has laser-etched graduations, making positions easy to recreate; a special table is
provided in section 4.3 for this purpose.

Type 5128-C
Type 4606 allows measurement in both standardized and non-standardized positions. One of the
standardized positions is the HATS position (see section 4.3.5). Once a handset is set in the HATS
position where its Ear Cap Reference Point (ECRP) and the HATS pinna ERP coincide, all rotational
adjustments provided by the Type 4606 occur around the ERP.
CAUTION:
The feet (see Fig.1.2) must be fitted to HATS to provide added stability. Otherwise, the
additional weight of Type 4606 may cause HATS to tip over, leading to possible damage
of HATS and Type 4606.
