4.1 Use with a DAT Recorder
4.1.1 Combined System
When used with a four channel SONY PC 204 A DAT recorder, the case size of Type
2672 matches that of the DAT recorder. By adding guard frames, the two units are
incorporated into one portable system.
Refer to the PC 204 A Operating Instructions for setting up and operating the re-
corder.
4.1.2 Assembling the System
Guard frames, associated hardware and cabling to connect Type 2672 to the DAT
recorder are included as accessories with the amplifier.
Attach one guard frame to both instruments, as described below, before attaching
the second guard frame.
1. Unscrew the two screws in the side panel of Type 2672.
2. Use the 4 mm screws supplied with Type 2672 to mount the guard frame on the
amplifier.
3. Unscrew the four screws in the side panel of the DAT recorder (the four screws
closest to the back panel).
4. Use the 3 mm screws supplied with Type 2672 to attach the recorder to the
guard frame, so that the recorder is on top of the amplifier.
5. Mount the other guard frame in the same way.
To connect the signal outputs of the instrument to the DAT recorder use the BNC-
BNC cables (Brüel&Kjær order number WL 1199) supplied with Type 2672.
Use with other DAT Recorders
Although Type 2672 can be used with any DAT recorder with an analogue input, no
fixing or combining hardware is available
4.2 Use with Positioning Frame UA 1324
Type 2672 and SONY PC 204 A DAT recorder fitted with guard frames can be
mounted in Positioning Frame UA 1324 along with a Sound Quality Head and Tor-
so Simulator Type 4100 (D). See the User Guide for UA 1324 for details.
