VERVIEW
This document describes how to bring up and configure the Broadcom BCM53242M reference board.
Hereafter, the reference board is referred to as the BCM53242M reference board.
shows a high-level block diagram of the BCM53242M management reference board.
The Broadcom Software Development Kit (SDK) includes a Command Line Interface (CLI) for users to manage
the BCM53242M reference board and monitor its performance. To access the SDK, connect a management
console to the console port of the reference board. The management console can be a VT-100 terminal or a
PC running terminal emulation software.

Note:
Each port contains two LEDs. The upper LED includes three different indicators (ACT, Speed,
and Duplex). The user selects the desired indicator via the LED mode button. The LEDs adjacent to
the RJ45 connector shows the current indicator selected for the upper LED. The lower LED is the
Link indicator.
