Lighting Control
The SoloCAM has a flexible platform of built-in and remote lighting to cater for most
deployment situations:
Headlight
– this is a daytime (~6000K colour temperature) light, mounted on top of the
camera and is primarily used for lighting the contributors face in the presence of bright
backgrounds. It is extremely bright and may require damping down with a suitable diffusing
material. The button label will change between “Headlight Off” and “Headlight On” depending
on the current status.
Sidelight
– this is a tungsten (~3000K colour temperature) light mounted on the front face of
the SoloCAM. It is continuously variable and controlled by a fader.
DMX 1-4
– the SoloCAM has a DMX lighting output on the rear panel
[

].
Up to 4 external
DMX lights can be controlled via the corresponding DMX fader on the control GUI.
Presets
It is possible to store and recall up to 4 presets. Each preset is a snapshot of the camera
position and light settings. To store a preset, simply click the appropriate Store Preset button
(1-4). The presets do not affect the Monitor or Microphone controls.
GPS Mapping
This feature is not currently implemented.
Remote Mounting the Camera
The camera is mounted to the SoloCAM base unit via 3 powerful magnets.
