Most troubleshooting consists of visual checks. Due to the dangerous voltages and high

currents in the equipment, it is considered hazardous to work with power energized.

Therefore, the various transmitter indicators (meters, LEDs, fuses, and circuit breakers)

should be used to isolate the malfunction to one of the specific areas listed below. Typical

meter indications are presented in Table 5-1 and transmitter primary power demand re

quirements are listed in Table 5-2.
