4. INSTALLATION OF THE CARSEAT 9-18 KG (APPROX 9MONTH-4YEARS) GROUP I
Place the child seat on the vehicle seat with forward-facing and make sure that the backrest of
the child seat is firmly pressed against the vehicle seat backrest. (Fig. 4a)
Loosen the harness, push the adjustment button (G) in as you pull the shoulder harness
forward as much as possible. (Fig. 4b)
Thread the vehicle lap belt under both arms of the chair. Push the vehicle diagonal belt and lap
belt into vehicle seat belt buckle until you hear “click. (Fig. 4c)
Pull the fabric cover of the base of child seat away, place the vehicle lap belt trhu the belt guide
slot in the base of the seat and then push the fabric back. (Fig. 5)
Pull the fabric cover of backrest of child seat away, put the vehicle diagonal belt under fabric
cover and then push the cover back. (Fig. 6)
Thread the vehicle diagonal belt thru the belt guide (J). (Fig. 7)
Caution! Do not twist the belt.
Using your knee to press the child seat, tighten the vehicle seat belt as follows:
First pull on the lower part of the diagonal seat belt near the vehicle seat belt buckle to tighten
the lap belt.
Holding the lower part of the diagonal seat belt tight, pull firmly on the upper part of the
diagonal seat belt to tighten the entire vehicle seat belt. (Fig. 8)
Make sure that the child seat is securely fastened. If it is not, tighten the vehicle seat belt again.
Tip! Pull forwards on the harness of the child seat. The child seat must move only slightly or not
at all. (Fig. 9)
5. SECURING YOUR CHILD IN THE CAR SEAT FOR GROUP I (9-18KG).
Press the shoulder strap adjusting button (G) with one hand and simultaneously pull the
shoulder straps (E) with another hand to loose it. (Fig. 9)
Open the harness buckle (press the red release button). (Fig. 10).
Put the harness straps aside. (Fig. 11)
Place your child into the child seat. Put the shoulder straps (E) over the shoulders of your child.
Caution! Do not twist or interchange the shoulder straps.
Put the two buckle tongues together and engage in the harness buckle with an audible CLICK!
(Fig. 12)
Pull the harness adjustment strap (H) until the harness is a comfortable but FIRMLY around
your child. (Fig. 13)
Caution! The hip belt must lie as low as possible over your child's hips.
Finally, pull both chest pads down from your child’s shoulders onto their chest.
Note: The chest pads are an important safety feature. Never use the child car seat without them.
6. INSTALLING THE CHILD CAR SEAT (WITHOUT CHILD CAR SEAT HARNESS) 15-36KG
GROUP II+III
Removing the harness system
Release the shoulder straps (E) and unhook them from the metal anchor (M). (Fig. 14)
Pull the shoulder straps (E) out of the strap slot (K). (Fig. 15).
Turn the base of seat over and remove the E-style buckle from the buckle strap. (Fig. 16)
Take the straps off and keep them well as you may need them.
Note: It is suggested that the two buckle latches are inserted into buckle to avoid missing
(Fig. 17).
Adjusting the height of the headrest
Correctly adjusted headrest (A) ensures that the diagonal seat belt is optimally positioned, and
gives your child the desired protection and comfort.
Sit your child in the seat. (Fig. 18)
Reach into the back of headrest (A) and pull the headrest adjuster lever (I) upwards. You can
now move the unlocked headrest (A) to the desired height. As soon as you release the
headrest adjuster lever (I), the headrest will lock into place. (Fig. 19)
