LATCH Installation

Press down on the lock off

plate, then lift the tabs and

lock-off plate to open the

lock-off.

WARNING!

• Only raise the base as described in these instructions. Do not use anything

to raise the base of the infant carrier off the front edge of the vehicle seat. In

a crash, this could cause the infant carrier not to perform as intended.

• The base must ALWAYS be secured in a vehicle as described on pages

–

31 before attaching the occupied infant carrier to the base. Never

attach the occupied infant carrier to the base unless the base is properly

secured in a vehicle.

• Use

either

the LATCH system

the vehicle belt methods to install this

child seat. Using both is not approved and may cause the child seat not to

perform as intended.

Before You Begin:

Remove the infant carrier before

installing the base.

Verify that your vehicle is equipped

with LATCH anchors.

* If you car does not have LATCH

anchors, you must use vehicle belt

installation methods.

Press the LATCH adjuster

release button while pulling

the LATCH strap to loosen the

LATCH connector strap.
