Exchange of nose landing gear shock absorber

Type of maintenance: line
Authorization to perform:

Sport pilot or LSA mechanic

Tools needed:



wrench size 1/2 in

Follow Fig. 8-9 to replace the shock absorber.

Jack and support the airplane (see 14.2).

Use wrench size

½ in to release both upper and lower self–locking nut (4).

Remove bolts (3) and distance washers (5).

Remove the shock absorber.

Install a new shock absorber in reverse steps.
