3.2.6 Ethernet

NOTICE!

The pump controller's ETHERNET interfaces are only intended for
connection to computer networks (LANs) and are not permitted to
be connected to telephone networks or telecommunication cir-
cuits.

The pump controller has 2 ethernet connections:



ETH 1 in slot C (LAN 1, Fig. 10/1, M12 connection)



ETH 2 in the service access (LAN 2, Fig. 10/2, RJ45 connection)

The ETH -1 interface in slot C is intended for a permanent connection to an
ethernet or an ethernet-based field bus system. The M12 socket enables the
connection while retaining the housing protection category.

The ETH-2 interface in the service access is used for temporary access for ser-
vice and maintenance purposes. As the cover on the service access has to be
opened in order to use this feature, housing protection level IP65 is sacrificed
by this until the service access is closed again properly.

The ETH 1 and ETH 2 ethernet interfaces are not switched.
