5 Operating the pump controller

The explanation of the logic functions should enable you to plan a
logic module and to set the parameters as logic functions for all
actions that are required to operate your system.
If you require further support when setting parameters for actions,
contact the pump controller’s manufacturer.
A total of 6 application modules can be configured for the pump
contro
ller. If the “Logic module” primary function is assigned to all
6 application modules, there is no application module available on
the pump controller to control conveyance tasks.
Ensure that enough application modules are configured to
control the conveyance tasks in addition to the required logic
modules.
For the individual configuration of your pump controller, refer
to
the “Data for setting the bplogic parameters” questionnaire.

Fig. 66 shows the basic elements in a logic function. The logic function comprises a
condition (Fig. 66/1) and a branch. Depending on whether the condition is met or
not, another command branch (Fig. 66/2 and 3) will run.

An IF command must be defined for each action.
The IF command uses a comparison to check whether the condi-
tion defined for executing a command is true (= the condition is
met) or false (= the condition is not met).
