Lockout Mechanism Adjustment
The 3 Bale Kit is equipped with a lockout mechanism that prevents the fork frame and
clamp from contacting. This lockout mechanism is designed to be adjustable to ensure proper
function of the machine no matter the conditions. The lockout mechanism works by following
the position of both the lifting fork and the clamping arms and feeding that information into a
plunger which will trigger two lockout valves, one controlling the fork, and one controlling the
clamp. Whichever function is being used at the time of lockout will be locked, and will continue
to be locked unless the function is backed off from the collision situation.
If the clamped bale is not being clamped strongly enough before the lockout is triggering, the
plunger can be adjusted upwards to slow the lockout point and allow further cylinder stroke
before lockout. Alternatively, if the clamp or fork have collided with each other, the plunger can
be adjusted downwards to increase the lockout sensitivity and prevent future collision.
