The tonneau-shaped H

re-
presents a technical and aesthetic

engraving the curved surface of
the dial, with its delicate “guilloché”
decoration, represents a triumph

have perpetuated since our founder’s
time. It has earned its name, and its

With his “chronomètre à doubles
secondes” or observation chrono-
me ter, developed in 1820, A.-L. Breguet
anticipated the modern chronograph.
Later, with the watchmaker Fatton,
one of his most gifted pupils, our
founder built his inking chronograph,
which led to the term chronograph
from “chronos” meaning time and
“graphein”, to write. Your H
