Cleaning
Automatic cleaning
After each s have, return the s haver to the
Clean&Renew s tation and proceed a s de s cribed
above in the s ection «Before s having».
All charging and cleaning need s are then
automatically ta k en care of. With daily u s e, a
cleaning cartridge s hould be s uffi cient for about
30 cleaning cycle s .
The hygienic cleaning cartridge contain s alcohol,
which once opened will naturally evaporate
s lowly into the s urrounding air. Each cartridge,
if not u s ed daily, s hould be replaced after
approximately 8 wee ks .
The cleaning cartridge al s o contain s lubricate s ,
which may leave re s idual mar ks on the outer foil
frame after cleaning. However, the s e mar ks can
be removed ea s ily by wiping gently with a cloth
or s oft ti ss ue paper.
Manual cleaning
The s haver head i s s uitable for cleaning
under running tap water.
Warning: Detach the
s haver from the
power s upply before cleaning the s haver
head in water.
Rin s ing the s having head under running water
i s an alternative way to k eep the s haver clean,
e s pecially when travelling:
• S witch the s haver on (cordle ss )

and rin s e
the s having head under hot running water.
You may u s e liquid s oap without abra s ive
s ub s tance s . Rin s e off all foam and let the
s haver run for a few more s econd s .
• Next, s witch off the s haver, pre ss the relea s e

and let it dry.
• If you regularly clean the s haver under water,
apply a drop of the light machine oil, included
with the
s haver, onto the s haver foil and
long hair trimmer. Thi s i s critical for proper
functioning of the s haver a s wa s hing under
water can lead to removal of lubricant s from
the s haver’ s cutting part s leading to higher
friction in the s haver. Thi s may re s ult in the
battery running out fa s ter than normal. Even
if thi s happen s – indicated by low charge
indicator lighting up earlier, your Braun s haver
will run for at lea s t 5 more minute s enabling
you to complete your current s have.
