3. Usage/safety instructions
Caution!
Please read the following usage and safety instructions care -
fully before use, and follow the instructions for proper opera -
tion. Improper use will void the warranty and disclaimer.
• The meter should never be dismantled by inexperienced
persons under any circumstances. This should be performed
done only by qualified technicians.
• Persons or objects should not be present between the meter
and the sound source so as to get an accurate reading and to
ensure that the sound waves are not distorted by reflections.
• Wind noises may distort the reading. Therefore, use the
provided foam cover in windy conditions.
• If you are measuring ambient noise outside, please place the
wind cover on the microphone. Otherwise, the wind noise
may distort the reading.
•
Calibrate the meter if it has not been used for a long time.
• Do not store or use the device under high temperature and
high humidity conditions.
• Avoid heavy vibrations.
