7. Start the backing of the label roll in the empty spool in the rewinder. See
“Starting a New Roll”
on page 23

Starting a New Roll
Always remove spent backing from the spool before starting another roll. See
“Removing Spent Label
Backing” on page 24
.
To attach the label backing to the rewinder spool:
1. Load the label supply in the printer if you have not already done so. See
“Loading Label
Supply” on page 17
.
2. Print labels until approximately six inches of backing is discharged from the printer.
(Alternatively, you can press Feed Supply on the touch screen to expel label material.)
3. Open the door on the front of the rewinder.
CAUTION! When moving the printer with the rewinder attached, be sure to lift
from the cutouts on either side of the rewinder to avoid damage if
the attachment is not fully secure.
