4.2.8. INFRARED EMITTERS
Infrared emitters are LEDs that emit infrared light. This
light is not visible to the human eyes, but it causes damage
to the retna as in conventonal LEDs!
Using a video camera, like a web cam for example, one can
check whether the LEDs are working or not.
The infrared emitters are used in the obstacle detecton
circuit. They emit light that is refected by the obstacles.
Place the infrared emitters on positons IRE1 and IRE2
facing outwards.
4.2.9. PUSH BUTTONS
A push button places an electrical signal on the circuit while
being pressed.
Four pushbuttons allow you to interact with the robot.
You can, for instance, navigate on menus and change
setngs on your program quickly and without connectng
your robot to the computer.
Use the push buttons PB1 , PB2 and PB3 to interact with
your robot and to navigate on menus displayed on the
LCD.
The Reset push button resets the Arduino.
