If the terminal weighing has on the back one or more 5-pin connectors the data
will be already digitized in the platform or weighing bridge and sent to the termi-
nal weighing.
The terminal weighing in this case serves
• as an instrument for displaying the values.
• to setting parameters.
• and in addition as a power source for the built-in digitization unit in the plat-
form or weighing bridge.
Attention
With certified systems the weighing terminal and the digitization unit have an
encrypted value. This value is unique and cannot be reproduced, it serves as
a calibration protection. This protection ensures that only the weighing
terminal, which is rated by the Office of Weights and Measures works together
with digitizing unit reviewed by Office of Weights and Measures.
