15.4 Connecting the appli-
ance to the energy man-
ager
The energy manager manages the
power supply from your conventional
and alternative energy sources. If
your alternative energy sources gen-
erate sufficient energy within a
preselected time, the energy man-
ager will start the appliance. If insuffi-
cient energy is generated, the appli-
ance is started using energy from
conventional energy sources.
Requirements

The energy manager uses the EE-
Bus standard.

You have read the user manual for
the energy manager.

Activate Flex Start
Activate the Flexstart function to allow
the energy manager to start your ap-
pliance once your home photovoltaic
system is able to provide sufficient
energy or the energy tariff is good.
Requirement:
The appliance is con-
nected to the energy manager.

Set the programme you require.

Press

to set the required
time period.

If the display shows , the Flex-
start is activated.

If the time changes on the display,
e.g. to 8 h, the energy manager
has established a time at which
your appliance can start.

If the energy manager does not
start the programme within the set
time, the appliance starts the pro-
gramme itself. The programme
ends at the set time.
Note
Flex Start is deactivated for safety
reasons in the following
circumstances:

When Wi-Fi is activated, the en-
ergy consumption increases in com-
parison to the values specified in the
