6.2 Installing the double-ended screws
WARNING:
Danger to life due to falling cylinder!
▶ Only screw double ended screws into a substructure with sufficient
load bearing capacity.
We recommend making a drilling template to ensure accurate vertical
drilling.
To create a drilling template:
▶ Drill
vertically through the timber using a wood drill bit.

1. With a 14 mm drill bit, drill through the peaks of the roof tile.
However, do not drill into the timber below!
2. With a 6 mm wood drill bit, drill absolutely vertically through the
drilling template [1] and substructure.

NOTICE:
Roof leaks from damaged sealing washer!
▶ Only screw the nut over the sealing washer hand-tight onto the flat
washer.
▶ Turn the pre-assembled double-ended screw on the retaining block
with a 19 mm spanner until dim. Z (

tab.) is reached.
▶ Tighten the nut [2] by hand until the sealing washer [4] makes full
contact with the roof tile. Retighten nut with a ¼ to ½ turn of a
spanner.
