Lifetime
With respect to the use and usage conditions described in this operating instructions, the life of the
Bosch TRACI Tag is designed for a maximum of 15,000 GNSS fixes (clear sky, unobstructed line of
sight to satelite, optimal temperature range) & 20,000 LoRa® messages or a maximum of 3 years
(whichever occurs first).
The commercial warranty and liability is not affected by this and is governed separately by the delivery
conditions.

Transport, mounting, start and end of operation,
storage
4.8.1
Transport
The contained lithium batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods Legislation requirements. The
user can, however, transport the Bosch TRACI Tag by road without specific requirements.
When being transported by third parties (e.g.: air transport or forwarding agency), special
requirements on packaging and labelling must be observed. For preparation of the item being
transported, consulting an expert for hazardous material is required.
No special safety procedures apply to the storage of lithium batteries with low power. When storing
larger amounts (> 7 m ³) attention has to be paid on the regulations for fire prevention (e.g. no
storage with other products and monitoring of rooms with fire detectors).
Please pay special attention to the safety and warning notes!

Transport
In order to protect the Bosch TRACI Tag the device must be transported in its original packaging
and only be unpacked shortly before mounting.
Bosch TRACI Tags with damaged housing (e.g. dropped during shipment) must not be
used anymore. In case of a damage, please refer to chapter 2.9 “Disposal and Recycling”.
Devices with used, discharged batteries should be replaced and properly disposed in a
timely manner.
