18 Troubleshooting
You can rectify minor faults on your appliance yourself. Read the troubleshoot-
ing information before contacting after-sales service. This will avoid unneces-
sary costs.

Incorrect repairs are dangerous.

Repairs to the appliance should only be carried out by trained specialist
staff.
▶
Only use genuine spare parts when repairing the appliance.
▶
If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced with a
special connection cable, which is available from the manufacturer or his
Customer Service.

Appliance door will
not open or cannot be
opened easily. Childproof lock is activated.

E:12 lights up. Appliance has detected calcified heating element.

Descale the appliance.

Operate the appliance with the water softening
system.

E:14 lights up. Water protection system is activated.

Turn off the water tap.

Call Customer Service → Page 51 .
E:15 lights up. Water protection system is activated.

Turn off the water tap.
2.
Call Customer Service → Page 51 .
E:16 lights up. Water is continuously running into the appliance.

Turn off the water tap.

E:18 or indicator for
water supply lights up. Supply hose is kinked.

Install the supply hose without kinks.
Water tap is turned off.

Turn on the water tap.
Water tap is jammed or furred up.
