3 General information on damage to property and dam‐
age to the product
The warranty only applies to the delivered configuration.
●
Warranty claims will be rejected in the case of improper installation,
commissioning and operation as well as in the case of use not in ac‐
cordance with the intended purpose and/or improper handling.
● The following safety instructions apply to chapters 6 to 14.
Welding and painting work!
Risk of damage! Electrostatic charging can
destroy the electronics.
NOTICE
● Avoid electrostatic charging of electronic components.
Paint coating!
Risk of damage! Contact surfaces may be
damaged. Risk of overheating due to insuffi‐
cient heat dissipation and impairment of func‐
tion of measuring systems.
NOTICE
● Never paint-coat measuring systems, cooling and contact surfaces.
Inadmissible mechanical load!
Risk of damage! Any kind of mechanical
loading, especially impact or shock-type
forces may damage or even destroy the self-
contained servo-hydraulic linear axis.
NOTICE
● Avoid impacts against the attachment parts of the self-contained servo-
hydraulic linear axis.
● Do not place/put the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis onto the
attachment parts.
● Never use the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis to sit or step on.
Do not place/put any objects on top of it.
Foreign particles and dirt in the system!
Risk of damage, wear and malfunctions due
to ingress of dirt and foreign particles. Con‐
taminants and metal particles can damage
the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis
and cause leakage.
NOTICE
● Before commissioning, check that all hydraulic connections are tight and
that all seals and plugs of ports are correctly installed and undamaged.
● Take care that no cleaning agents enter the hydraulic system.
● Do not use cotton waste or linty cloths for cleaning.
