7.1.3 Hall unit assembly/Disassembly
The Hall unit is a component that may by damaged by ESD. Be‐
fore connecting the Hall unit, take appropriate measures for ESD
protection ( ESD = electrostatic discharge).
If a Hall unit on the primary part must be add on or exchanged, remove a
dummy or the Hall unit to be exchanged in the installation space of the sen‐
sor first. To press out the dummy or the Hall unit slightly, we provide a small
auxilliary device in the accessory delivery. The existing fastening screws can
be used to assemble the new Hall unit. Do not exceed the permitted tighten‐
ing torque (see Fig 7-1 . A too high tightening torque can damage the fasten‐
ing thread of the Hall unit and can therewith make them useless.

1. Untighten both fastening screws. Store them to fasten a new Hall unit.
When the fastening screws are lost, only use screws of the same design
(see Fig. 7-1 )!
2. Press the dummy or the Hall unit by means of an auxiliary device out of
the installation space and remove it.
3. Assemble the new Hall unit
