13.3 Installation of motor components
The order of installation of motor components is depending on the machine
construction or the available space in the machine. Also, the arrangement of
the motor components plays a significant role.
In the following assembly example, always motor setup in single arrangement
is assumed.
●
Possibility A
First, determine the secondary parts. Then, insert the primary part later‐
ally into the secondary parts and fasten it on the machine. MCP015 pri‐
mary parts can also be mounted from above into the secondary part due
to their design (T-shape).
● Possibility B
Initially assemble only one secondary part. Insert the primary part on the
front side (or MCP015 from above) into the secondary part and fasten it
on the machine. Then, mount the remaining secondary parts.
● Possibility C
First, mount the primary part and afterwards the secondary part.
13.4 Air-gap, parallelism and symmetry of the motor components
Parallelism and symmetry When mounting primary and secondary parts, their position is specified by
the holes or threads within the machine slide and within the machine bed.
Due to the clearance, which exists within the holes of the screw connections,
the motor components must be adjusted correctly acc. to fig. 13-2 "Aligning
the motor components" on page 160 before the screws are tightened. This
can be done via pressing the motor components on the screw-on surfaces
and stop faces. If all installation dimensions tab. 5-1 "MCL015 Installation di‐
mensions and tolerances" on page 46 Installation dimensions tab. 5-2 "Instal‐
lation dimensions and tolerances MCL020 ... 070" on page 47 were adhered
to, the correct arrangement of both motor components to each other results.
