7.3.3  Draining and venting the motor

Horizontal mounting 

When the motor is installed with the shaft in the horizontal plane, the highest of the 
two drain outlets D1 or

 

D2 must always be used (see 

Fig. 12: Draining and venting, 

horizontal mounting and Fig. 13: Positioning of drain connection / Maximum angle of 
shaft page 26) 

Drain line must be connected to the tank with a minimum of restrictions, to ensure 
that the maximum case pressure is not exceeded.
