10.1 Cleaning and care
WARNING
Risk of explosion due to charge-generating processes!
Due to highly charge-generating processes, propagating brush discharges may
occur on the surface of the manifold block. Propagating brush discharges may
ignite an explosive atmosphere.
▶ Use only conductive or dissipative materials for cleaning.
NOTICE
Solvents and aggressive cleaning agents!
Aggressive cleaning agents can damage the surfaces and seals of the manifold
block and accelerate their aging.
▶ Never use solvents or aggressive cleaning agents.
Penetrating dirt and liquids!
Safe functioning of the valve can no longer be ensured.
▶ Do not use high-pressure cleaners.
For cleaning and care of the manifold block observe the following:
▶ Check that all seals and plugs of the connections are tightly fitted to ensure that
no moisture can enter the manifold block during cleaning.
▶ Remove external coarse dirt and keep sensitive and important parts such as
valves clean.
▶ Remove dust and dirt accumulations on the manifold block at regular intervals.
10.2 Repair
WARNING
Explosion hazard caused by improper repair!
In case of improper repair, explosion protection is no longer ensured in subsequent
operation!
▶ For repair the manifold block and its attached components may only be
disassembled to the extent described in these operating instructions.
▶ Defective parts may only be replaced by new, interchangeable, tested
components in original equipment quality.
Rexroth offers a comprehensive range of services for repairing components.
Partially tested and pre-assembled original Rexroth assemblies allow for
successful repairs within a minimum of time.
Repairs may only be performed by authorized, skilled and instructed staff.
▶ Use exclusively genuine spare parts from Rexroth for repairs of Rexroth manifold
blocks.
