Camera & Lens Settings

4. For white cameras, ensure that the alignment arrow

just above the lens is pointing in an upward
direction, as shown in FIGURE 6a. For black
cameras, ensure that the camera is aligned so the
circular hole pattern, just above the lens, is located
at the top left when viewed from the lens side of
the camera. See FIGURE 6b.

5. The camera may be rotated by twisting it from side

to side. See FIGURE 6a and 6b.

6. Tighten the two wing nuts after completing camera

positioning.

7. Lens adjustment is usually unnecessary, but if you

need to bring the lens closer to the window, loosen
the two screws on each side of the camera and
move the camera to the desired position. The
screw(s) is shown in FIGURE 6a (for white
cameras), or FIGURE 6b (for black cameras).

5.2

Lens Varifocal Range Adjustment

These models are provided with a 5-50mm varifocal
DC auto-iris lens. 

1. Adjust the focal range to obtain the desired view, as

you would with any varifocal type lens.

CAMERA & LENS SETTINGS

6.1

Backlight Compensation, White 
Balance, Line Lock, and Phase 
Settings

As received, the unit will be set with the backlight
compensation off, the white balance on, and the line
lock on. See FIGURE 7a or 7b (depending on the
supplied camera) for the location of the dip switches
and the phase control. See FIGURE 8 for a detailed
view. Note that white balance applies to color cameras
only.

Dip Switches: 

The dip switches may be changed

from their default positions if desired. Remove the
lens connector on black cameras to access the dip
switches; see Section 6.2.

Phase Control: 

The phase may be adjusted as

required by using a small blade screwdriver.
