Making Connections for Network Cameras

Follow the steps below to make connections for IP-based

cameras ("N" suffix cameras).

1. Make all appropriate power connections.

CAUTION!

Never supply power via the Ethernet connection (PoE) when

power is supplied via the power connector.

2. Connect the camera to a 10/100 Base-T network

(

).

3. Use a shielded UTP Category 5 cable with RJ-45

connectors.
