Connecting high-pressure hose lines
Replace the high-pressure hose imme-
diately if the union, the sealing cone or
the sheath of the high-pressure hose is
damaged.

Check whether the thrust ring (fig.3, item 1) has
been tightened firmly (left-hand thread).

7.
Remove the union nut (fig. 7, item 1) and the sealing
cone (fig. 7, item 2) at the high-pressure outlets of
the distributor rail.
8.
Connect the high-pressure hose line to the high-
pressure outlet of the distributor rail (see fig.4).
Tightening torque: 25 – 30 Nm.
9.
Connect the other end of the high-pressure hose
to the connection piece for the high-pressure hose
(fig. 4, item 1).
Tightening torque 25 – 30 Nm.

The high-pressure hose must not lie against the pro-
tective hood of the EPS 708 when it is closed. You
can reduce the height of the high-pressure hose by
turning the connection piece (fig.5). When doing so,
make sure the bending radius of the high-pressure
hose line is more than 200 mm.
