4.1
Faults - general
A fault can be reported in one of 3 ways:
• via the display of boiler 1 or boiler 2 and the associated LEDs for the
boilers on the MBC 2;
• remotely via the ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat (in event that there is a
ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat present that is suitable for this);
• remotely via the integrated fault relay (if connected) and the fault
LED on the MBC 2.
4.1.1
Fault reporting via the display of boiler 1 or boiler 2 and the
associated LED for the boiler on the MBC 2
For further information regarding fault reporting via the displays for
boiler 1 or boiler 2, see the user or installation instructions for the boiler.
See table 1 and 2 for further information regarding the associated LED
for the boiler on the MBC 2.
4.1.2
Remote fault reporting via the ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat
The condition for remote fault reporting via the ModuLine (
i
RT)
thermostat is that a modulating regulator with the possibility for data
display must be connected to the MBC 2.
It will then be possible to read out the following data remotely via the
ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat:
• operating code;
• blocking or locking fault code;
• current supply water temperature (
user instructions for the
ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat);
• outside temperature sensor is connected to the MBC 2 (
user
instructions for the ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat).
Table 1 lists the operating codes that may appear in the ModuLine (
i
RT)
thermostat display and which apply specially to the use of ModuLine
(
i
RT) thermostat in combination with the MBC 2.
Table 2 list the fault codes.
For further information regarding these data and their read-outs, see the
user instructions for the ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat.
4.1.3
Remote fault reporting via the integrated fault relay and the fault LED on the MBC 2
For further information, see table 1 and 2, and also § 2.4 “Remote reporting of faults via the fault relay”.
NOTICE:
If the voltage to the MBC 2 is interrupted while the
boilers are in operation, the boilers will only be switched
off after a maximum of 4 minutes.
NOTICE:
As soon as a fault occurs in one of the boilers or there is
a poor contact between a boiler and the MBC 2, or one of
the boilers is switched on for hot water operation, the
other boiler will be switched on when there is a demand
for central heating. This will compensate as far as
possible.
