Operating instructions
CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before adjusting or checking function on the tool.
Maintenance
CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before attempting to perform inspection or maintenance.
NOTICE: Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol or the like. Discolouration, deformation or cracks may result.
Regularly clean the tool using a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner. Never let any liquid get inside the tool and never immerse any
part of the tool into liquid.
Installing or removing battery cartridge (fig.1)
CAUTION: Always switch off the tool before installing or removing of the battery cartridge.
CAUTION: Hold the tool and the battery cartridge firmly when installing or removing battery cartridge. Failure to hold the tool and the battery cartridge firmly
may cause them to slip off your hands and result in damage to the tool and battery cartridge and a personal injury.

To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the tool while sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.
To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on the battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip it into place. Insert it all the way until it locks
in place with a little click.
CAUTION: Always install the battery cartridge fully. If not, it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury to you or someone around you.
CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridge forcibly. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it is not being inserted correctly.
Battery protection system
The tool is equipped with a battery protection system. The tool will automatically stop during operation if the tool and/or battery are placed under one of the
following conditions:
Low battery voltage: The remaining battery capacity is too low and the tool will not operate. In this situation, remove and recharge the battery.
Overheated: The tool does not start when the battery is overheated. In this situation, let the battery cool before turning the tool on again.
Indicating the remaining battery capacity (Fig.2)

Press the check button on the battery cartridge to indicate the remaining battery ca

pacity. The indicator lamps light off immediately when release the check button.

Installing or removing the glue sticks (Fig.3-4)

1. Insert a glue stick into the inlet of the glue stick chamber located at the rear of the
tool.
2. Gently squeeze the Switch trigger to locate the glue stick firmly in position, as far
as it can go.
3. On first use, the glue stick may be completely inserted into the tool. A second glue stick may be required.
CAUTION: Only use low temperature glue sticks. Replacement glue sticks are available from your local authorized dealer. Other brands may cause dangerous
malfunctions.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to remove an unused portion of a glue stick from the tool.
Switch action (fig.5-6)
CAUTION: Before installing the battery cartridge into the tool, always check to see that the tool is switched off.

To start the tool, slide the On/off switch toward the “I (ON)” position,the LED indicator light on.
To stop the tool, slide the On/off switch toward the “O (OFF)” position, the LED indicator light off.
Operation
CAUTION: Be aware that this product may ignite material. Where this is a concern, test a piece of scrap material. This tool will become warm during use. This
is normal and does not indicate a problem. Avoid contact with the nozzle.
CAUTION: Molten glue reaches 1750C. Do not touch applied glue. Keep away from children.
CAUTION: Glue dispersion may be delayed longer than time claimed due to the presence of solidified glue in the unit.
CAUTION: Molten glue and nozzle area will remain hot even after the tool is turned off or the battery is removed. Squeezing the trigger after the tool is turned
off may dispense melted glue. Allow the tool to cool for 30 minutes before storing.
Gluing (fig.7)
1. Start the tool
2. After the glue gun has been turned on for at least 180 seconds, apply the glue by squeezing the switch trigger.
3. To glue objects together apply glue to one object and press second object into the melted glue.
4. Hold glued objects together for 5-10 seconds. Heavy applications may require up to a minute for the glue to reach full strength.
NOTE: Items included in the tool package as standard accessories may differ from
country to country.
