Servicing and Cleaning the Device
As the blades of the cutting mechanism are very sharp and the motor is very powerful, you should take
suitable precautions to avoid items of clothing, ties, scarves and hair getting into the device when working
with it on a daily basis!
The collection container must be regularly checked and emptied if necessary in order to guarantee
smooth operation. Also check from time to time the size of the small material parts, as wear and tear or
damage to the cutting mechanism can compromise the safety of the shredded data.
We recommend running a Bonsaii cleaning kit through the cutting mechanism approximately every 500
sheets
to ensure quiet and fluent operation. This simultaneously cleans, lubricates and services the cutting
mechanism. The cleaning kit can be obtained from a specialist shop or via the Bonsaii service hotline.
To ensure the device has a long service life, you should if possible work below the technically possible
maximum number of sheets.
Please remove the plug first of all before cleaning the device. You can then clean the device from the
outside with a cloth and some mild detergent. The cloth should be damp but not wet. It is crucial that no
liquid gets into the cutting mechanism. On no account use bleaching agents, alcohol, white gas or any
other inflammable liquid.
