General Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the
appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the
warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal
packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass
on the operating instructions.
• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for
the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fi t for commer-
cial use. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources
of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid)
and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance
and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug
itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and
remove the attached accessories.
• Do
not
operate the machine without supervision. If you lea-
ve the room you should always turn the device off. Remove
the plug from the socket.
• Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular
basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always
contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure
to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by
the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualifi ed
person and with a cable of the same type.
• Use only original spare parts.
• Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instruc-
tions“.
Children and Frail Individuals
• In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all
packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their
reach.

• In order to protect children or frail individuals from the ha-
zards of electrical equipment, please ensure that this device
is only used under supervision. This device is not a toy. Do
not
allow small children to play with it.
Special Safety Advice for this Machine
• Handle the cutting knife with great care as it is very sharp.
• Do not cut any food which is extremely hard such as frozen
or bony meat.
• Do not use your hands to place the food to be cut under the
knife. Please use the complete sliding carriage instead.
• Select a fl at surface.

Using the Machine
First Use of the Machine
•
Cutting board locking device:
Unfold the cutting board.
The cutting board is locked and unlocked in the lower positi-
on by moving the slide 7 on the side of the device.
• Clean the machine before using it for the fi rst time as descri-
bed below under „Cleaning“.
• Place the machine on a suitable working surface.
Handling
1. Set the cutting strength.
2. Place the items to be cut on the slide cutter and press them
with the leftover holder lightly in the direction of the knife.
3. Insert the mains plug into a correctly installed power socket.
4. On the speed switch select a speed between 1 and 3.

Safety switch combination:
First press in the unlocking
button on the side of the machine and then the on/off switch
on the top. The knife then turns.
6. Apply slight pressure to the carriage so that it runs smoothly
backwards and forwards.
A tip:
If you would like to produce particularly thin slices,
moisten the knife with a damp cloth so as to prevent the
food being cut from sticking to the knife.
Leftover holder:
This should be placed on the carriage in order to press the
material to be cut.
Important:
Do not use the machine for more than 3 minutes
without interruption.
Cleaning
• Disconnect the machine from the mains.
• Clean the machine after use with a slightly damp cloth.
• Then wipe dry.
• The slide cutter and leftover holder can be cleaned in soapy
water.
• The knife can be removed as follows for easy cleaning:
Turn the blade locking device to the
right
and carefully
remove the blade with a glove. Do not clean the blade in
soapy water, as otherwise lubricants will be removed. Wipe
off only the outside edge with a cloth.
