6.11 Change the engine oil
Danger
!
Danger of scalding!
When draining off hot oil.
Caution
!
Park the machine on level ground so that the
engine is in horizontal position.
Drain the engine oil only when the engine is
warm.
Environment
Catch running out oil and dispose of environ-
mentally.

Clean the drain hose from dust and dirt.

Unscrew the oil drain plug and catch any oil
running out (Fig. 49).
l
Clean the oil drain plug and screw it back in
(tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft.lbs)).

For quality and quantity of oil refer to the "table
of fuels and lubricants".

Fill in fresh engine oil through the filler opening
(Fig. 50).
l
Screw the oil dipstick back in.
l
Perform a test and check the oil level, correct
if necessary.
l
Check the drain plug for leak tightness.
