Using Flash Exposure Compensation
Flash exposure compensation lets you adjust and optimize your flash’s automated setting by increasing or
decreasing its light output without affecting the exposure as a whole.
In automatic TTL mode, you can use flash exposure compensation to adjust the VX-760C’s flash output
incrementally, just as you would adjust exposure with the exposure compensation function on your camera.
To apply flash exposure compensation, use the left and right navigation buttons to adjust by full stops, and
the up and down navigation buttons to fine-tune in increments of one-third. The flash exposure compensation
indicator will appear on the LCD.
Note:
When decreasing flash exposure compensation in
increments of one-third from a whole stop, you will need to
decrease it by one whole stop, and then increase by two-thirds.
For example, when fine-tuning from +2 to +1
⅔
, you will need to
adjust the value to +1, and then fine-tune to +1
⅔
. When working
with negative numbers, e.g., when fine-tuning from -1 to -1
⅓
, you
will need to adjust the value to -2, and then fine-tune to -1
⅓
.
