6.1. Connection
To connect over the LAN, follow these steps:
•
Connect the instrument LAN connector to the remote control computer,
•
On the user interface, either specify the LAN address,
•
On the remote controlcomputer, enter the instrument’s IP address,
•
After the connection has been established, the following commands can be used to modify the
settings:
o
Set the instrument’s IP address with: IP XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
o
Query the instrument’s IP address with: IP?

:IP XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
o
Set the instrument’s IP mask with: NM XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
o
Query the instrument’s IP mask with: NM?

:NM XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

Set the instrument’s IP gateway: GW XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
o
Query the instrument’s IP gateway with: GW?
