3. MOUNTING INSTALLATION

3.1

CEILING MOUNTING

IMPORTANT!

Ensure that the ceiling is capable of taking the weight of the heater.

For optimum results do not fit in ceilings higher than 3m. Air is taken in through the large grille and discharged through the smaller grille. The air intake
and discharge areas must be kept completely clear for a minimum of 1.5m from the front of the heater. In an area using multiple units, heaters should
be spread to provide an even heat distribution.
Take out the internal heater by removing the end plate (disconnect the earth cable carefully) then remove the 10 screws on the front face and slide
out the heater assembly remembering which way around it goes. There are 20mm electrical knockouts on the side of the case and the removable
cover these might influence which way around you mount the case for easy neat wiring. Remember to leave plenty of clearance to allow the inner
heater assembly to be inserted inside the main case after installation.

Using the drawing above mark out the holes required to secure the heater case to the ceiling.  Use the 4 x keyhole slots and an additional 2 holes
once installed to lock the heater in place. These addition 2 holes must be used to stop the possibility of the case sliding off its fixings.

Secure to the ceiling using suitable fixings (not supplied). Depending on how you mount the heater case it may be easier to do some of the electrical
connections before sliding the heater fully back into it.

3.2

DROP ROD MOUNTING

The heater has 4 x M8 threaded holes suitable for using M8 drop rod studding. Fully screw the studding into each hole and use a lock nut to stop it
rotating and coming out. Use the diagram above to determine the spacing of the drop rods. If you use drop rods you should be able to gain access to
all the electrical connections without having to open the end cover of the heater.
