Cleaning the windows
For cleaning, use only water or possibly
water with added commercial cleaning
agents.
Use a clean chamois or clean cloth only
to clean the windows, not for other
vehicle parts.
If the windows fog over, anti-fog cloths
can be used to wipe them clean; ice
can be removed with a de-icing agent.
Never use abrasive cleaning
agents, scrapers or other sharp
tools, as these will damage the splinter-
proof coating.

Windscreen and side windows
The windscreen, and the front side
windows in the outside mirror zones,
can be heated at outside temperatures
below +3
6
.
To switch the heating on, press the
button (arrow); to switch off, press it
again. The button is brightly lit when the
heating is switched on.
Rear window
For technical reasons the view through
the rear window is distorted when it is
being heated, but this ceases as soon
as the heating is no longer in operation.
When the vehicle is driven away from a
standstill, the central locking system is
engaged when a speed of 8 km/h
(5 mph) is reached. In an emergency,
however, it can always be released
manually at the central locking button
or at an inside door handle.
If the central locking is released manu-
ally while driving very slowly, after
which the vehicle's speed rises again to
8 km/h, the system will lock again.
