Usage

Preparing the Wick

•  In delivery conditions the wick is ready-for-use.

• 

Make sure the wick ends approximately 5 mm above the wick holder.

•  If this is not the case unlock the circlip at the wick, (not included). Adjust 

the lenght so that there is about 5 mm of it exposed above the wick holder. 

Replace the circlip using the circlip pliers.

Filling the torch

• 

Remove the snuff er fromthe oil container and unscrew the wick protection. 

Remove the wick from the container. Remember that the wick may be soaked 

with oil; place the wick on an oil-resistant surface.

• 

 Using a funnel, fi ll the oil container with recommended lamp oil through the 

wick opening. Please observe the fi lling volumes, i.e. max. 75 ml. For safety, 

do not overfi ll and make sure that the oil does not overfl ow. In the vent that 

oil has poured over the exterior, wipe off  and dry before igniting.

• 

Screw the wick back into the oil container and tighten fi nger-tight.

Igniting the torch

• 

If you ignite the torch for the fi rst time, wait fi ve minutes and make sure the 

wick has soaked up the lamp oil.

•  Make sure your hands are free of lamp oil. This is important as they may catch 

fi re when lighting the wick.

•  Ignite the wick as you would light a candle.

Extinguishing the fl ame

• 

Place the snuff er over the fl ame until the fl ame has gone out completely.

Warning : Danger to Life

In the case of small children, just a sip of lamp oil - or even sucking the wick 

- may lead to lifethreatening lung damage.

If lamp oil is swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice 

immediately or contact a poison information centre and show these warnings.
