Steps:
1.
Choose which configuration the AdTrap is connected

Choose to change your password and your time zone
3.
Gives you information about your network and setup
4.
Gives you the opportunity to download the setup utility
AdTrap Anywhere
Adtrap can be used on your mobile device over your carrier’s data plan. The phones
data get transferred from your data plan to your home network through the AdTrap
then back to your phone again. Even though this seems like a long process, with the
ads removed, you lose no internet speed. See the AdTrap Anywhere section for
further instructions.
Firewall
A firewall is a set of related programs and rules that protects the resources of a
private network from users from other networks. (The term also implies the security
policy that is used with the programs.) An enterprise with an
intranet
that allows its
workers access to the wider Internet installs a firewall to prevent outsiders from
accessing its own private data resources and for controlling what outside resources
its own users have access to.
Forwarding Ports
Port forwarding allows remote computers (for example, computers on the Internet)
to connect to a specific computer or service within a private local-area network
(LAN)
1.
Log into your AdTrap Settings.
2.
Click
Settings
then
Firewall.
3.
Click
Add Port Forward.
4.
Type in the name of the rule in the
Rule Comment
section.
5.
Type in the IP address in the Destination IP. This address is usually the next
device after the AdTrap which is your router IP address. ie 192.168.211.xxx.
6.
Type in the port or the port series in the
Destination TCP
port. This works for
TCP ports only.
7.
Click
Create
on the bottom of the page.
8.
Click
Apply Configuration
and you are all done.
