To activate the Child-proof lock:
• Press both buttons shown above at
the same time and hold for approx. 2
seconds until the >Child-proof lock<
16a indicator lamp starts glowing.
To deactivate the Child-proof lock:
• Press the same two buttons at the
same time and hold for approx. 2 sec-
onds until the >Child-proof lock<
16a
indicator lamp goes off.
Spin speed selector

The appropriate maximum spin speed
is
automatically set in each pro-
gramme.
The current value is indicated by the
lights
12a .
You should reduce the speed for especially
delicate fabrics.
• By repeatedly pressing the >Spin< 20
button you can change the speed– or
completely disable the spin cycle.
• In the >No spin< 12c setting no spin-
ning takes place; water is only drained.
• In the >Rinse hold< 12b setting the
programme stops after the last rinse
cycle. The laundry remains in the wa-
ter (to protect against creasing). A
blinking display notifies you that the
rinse stop has been reached. For steps
after this, refer "Quick instructions for
daily use".

The higher the spin speed, the lower
the residual moisture.
If you wish to dry your laundry subse-
quently in a dryer, select the maxi-
mum possible speed – this saves ener-
gy when drying.
Time delay
With the time delay function you can delay
the programme start. You can enter a time
delay of up to 9 hours. Settings can be
made in 3 hour increments.

Do not use liquid detergent when you
set time delay! Risk of staining of the
textiles.
1. Open tap, load drum and fill in deter-
gent.
2. Select programme, additional func-
tions and spin speed, if necessary.
3. Press >Time delay< 15 button several
times, in order to set the desired time
delay. The display
15a shows the set
time delay.
4. Press the >Start/Pause< button. The
time delay countdown phase begins.

During the time delay countdown, the
display
15a shows the time remaining
for the programme to complete in 3
hour steps. You can still add laundry
anytime during the time delay count-
down. At the end of the time delay
countdown the
15a indicator lamp
goes out and the washing cycle be-
gins.
