Answering a call
With an incoming call, the name of the caller is announced and shown on
the display, if this contact was transferred to the phone book of the BT Drive
Free 311. If no name is stored in the phone book, the phone number is
announced and displayed. To answer the call, briefl y press the MF button.
Ending a call
To end a call, briefl y press the MF button. The display shows "End Call" and
you hear a voice announcement.
Rejecting a call
To reject a call, hold the MF button pressed for 2 seconds. You hear a tone
and the display shows "Rejected".
Transferring a call
To transfer a call from the BT Drive Free 311 to the cell phone, hold the MF
button pressed for 2 seconds until you hear a tone and the display shows
"Transfer". Repeat the operating step to transfer the call back to the BT Drive
Free 311.
Adjusting the volume
During a phone call, you can adjust the volume with the buttons "+" and
"–". The volume can be adjusted in 15 increments. You hear a tone once the
minimum or maximum volume has been reached.
Muting the microphone
To mute the microphone during a call, press the MODE button. You hear 2
tones and the display shows "Mute mode". During the muting, you hear a
tone every 5 seconds. Press the MODE button again to cancel the muting.
Conducting a private call
During the call, hold the MODE button pressed for 2 seconds until you hear
2 tones. The volume of the loudspeaker will be greatly reduced and you can
use the BT Drive Free 311 like a regular phone. Repeat the operating step if
you want to use the BT Drive Free 311 again as hands-free system.
Audio streaming
The BT Drive Free 311 supports the A2DP function. With an audio streaming
connection, you can playback the music titles stored on the cell phone via
the BT Drive Free 311. In case of a call, the music playback is interrupted and
continued again after the call.
