INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Assembly and electrical connections must be carried out by specialised personnel.

Electric Connection

The appliance has been manufactured as a class II, therefore no earth cable is necessary.
The connection to the mains is carried out as follows:
BROWN =

line

BLUE =

neutral

If not provided, connect a plug for the electrical load indicated on the description label. Where a plug is
provided, the range hood must be installed in order that the plug is easily accessible.
An omnipolar switch with a minimum opening of 3mm between contacts, in line with the electrical load and
local standards, must be placed between the appliance and the network in the case of direct connection to
the electrical network.

•

The minimum distance between the support surfaces of the cooking pots on the cook top and the lowest

part of the range hood must be at least 65 cm. If a connection tube composed of two parts is used, the upper
part must be placed outside the lower part. Do not connect the range hood exhaust to the same conductor
used to circulate hot air or for evacuating fumes from other appliances generated by other than an electrical
source. Before proceeding with the assembly operations, remove the anti-grease filter(s) (Fig.7) so that the
unit is easier to handle.
In the case of assembly of the appliance in the suction version prepare the hole for evacuation of the air.

•

We recommend the use of an air exhaust pipe with a diameter of 150. If a pipe with a smaller diameter is

used, the efficiency of the product may be reduced and its operation may become noisier.

  Replacing the halogen light bulbs.

- Remove the light bulb from its holder, using a lever motion at the front as indicated in Fig. 11.
- Pull out connector

.

- Remove spring

C

fixing the light bulb to holder

D

with a new one which has exactly the

same characteristics.
- Follow the above steps in the reverse order to reassemble the parts.

BAFFLE FILTER (fig. 9)

Wash regularly every 15 to 30 days in order to prevent the grease oil  etc. from dripping out due to excessive
build-up . Baffle filters can be washed by hand or placed in the dishwasher.

  INSTALLATION

The following instruction should be followed to carry out the correct installation of the range hood.
1)

Mounting of the range hood on the lower side of the cupboard.

2)

Selection of the version  (extraction or filtration)

• FITTING THE RANGE HOOD INTO THE LOWER PART OF THE WALL CABINET

For all measurements relating to the range hood, please refer to Fig. 1.
Before fixing the range hood to the lower part of the cabinet, the following steps should be performed:
1. Remove the 4 screws

E

fixing the two range hood brackets

H

(RHS and LHS) in place as indicated in Fig.

2A.
2. Remove the brackets

 as shown in Fig. 2B.

3. Make sure the thickness of the cabinet falls within the range of values listed in Fig. 2C.
Fit the range hood in the cabinet (Fig. 3) and make sure the 4 springs are fixed in place well.
Fix the range hood to the cabinet securely by using a screwdriver to tighten the screws

M

 until the appliance

is flush with the cabinet (Fig. 3).

• EXTRACTOR VERSION

When installed in this way the appliance expels fumes outside, either through a perimeter wall or through
existing ducting.
It is therefore necessary to purchase a non-flammable ducting (not supplied) which complies with all current
legislation and connect it to flange

N

 (Fig. 6).
