
Warning:
Always attach
the crocodile clips to the battery prior to plugging into the mains power supply.
This trickle charger does not have reverse polarity protection. Incorrectly connecting the battery whilst the plug is
connected to the mains power supply will cause irreversible damage to the charger and may damage the battery.
Note
this trickle charger is not intended to charge a flat battery quickly. It could take anything from 60 to 100
hours depending on amp hours of the battery. The plug unit may get warm during the charging process, this is
normal.
Warning!
Do not attempt to start the vehicle with the charger connected, this may damage the trickle charger
and/or the battery. This unit is not fitted with any indication of battery condition or charge . It will therefore not
indicate when the battery is fully charged or automatically switch off when it is.
Connecting the Charger to the Battery:
Always connect the positive charging lead (RED) to the positive post of the battery ( / +ve or P) first
.
For batteries still installed in the vehicle:
Note,
do not use an extension lead and stand the charger in the engine bay.
Connect the negative charging lead (BLACK) to the vehicle chassis, well away from the battery, fuel line, hot or
moving parts. Once the clips are connected to the battery plug the trickle charger into the powe r supply.
For Batteries Removed from the Vehicle:
Always connect the positive charging lead (RED) to the positive post of the battery ( / +ve or P) first
.
Connect the negative charging lead (BLACK) to the negative post of the battery (marked - / -ve or N).
After connecting the clips, rotate them slightly so as to remove any dirt or oxidization, ensuring good contact.
Once the clips are connected to the battery plug the trickle charger into the power supply.
If the power socket has a switch turn it on.
Disconnection
Switch off the mains supply and unplug the charger.
Disconnect the clips, Negative (BLACK lead)
–
ve first, followed by the Positive (Red lead) +ve.
If the battery has been removed for charging, replace it and re -connect the cables.

Should your appliance not work or is damaged when you first take it out of the carton, return it to the ret ailer with
the packaging and proof of purchase.
