FIRMWARE UPGRADE
Perform the following steps to upgrade the system firmware, in the event that
an upgrade is available.
1.
Go to the www.monoprice.com website and type 36741 in the search
bar. Locate the Support Files section at the bottom of the page, then
download the firmware upgrade zip file.
2.
Extract the .bin firmware upgrade file from the zip file.
3.
Ensure the splitter is powered off and unplugged from its power source.
4.
Plug one end of a Micro USB cable (available separately) into the FW/DC
5V port on the splitter, then plug the other end into an available USB
port on your computer.
5.
Your computer will recognize a U-disk named BOOTDISK.
6.
Double-click the BOOTDISK U-disk to display the files on the drive. There
should be a file named READY.TXT.
7.
Copy the firmware upgrade .bin file to the BOOTDISK U-disk.
8.
Double-click the BOOTDISK U-disk to display the files on the drive. The
READY.TXT file should have been replaced with a SUCCESS.TXT file. If
not, double-check the .bin filename and try again.
9.
Unplug the Micro USB cable from the splitter and from your computer.
